Grassroots Labs (GRL) partners with a nationwide service of independent physicians to review and authorize lab tests requested by GRL customers. If approved, the test is ordered. GRL's clinical support team evaluates new orders submitted by Grassroots Labs customers using physician-established protocols to approve orders, between 8:00am and 8:00pm EST.
We strive to have requests for lab services reviewed promptly, but these timeframes are approximations and not guaranteed:
- Requests made between 8:00am - 4:59pm EST, are generally reviewed within 3 hours.
- Requests made between 5:00pm - 11:59pm EST, are generally reviewed the following day by 11:00am EST
- Requests made between 12:00am - 7:59am EST, are generally reviewed the same day, by 11:00am EST.
GRL provides a convenient way to view the estimated response time for requests for lab services in a user's Order History, found by clicking on the My Account button, when logged into the GRL website. In addition, users will receive an email letting them know their requests are approved orders and that they can print off their requisition in their account and go to the testing center.
Visiting the Testing Center / Making Appointments at the Testing Center
Users should wait until their requests is approved as an “order” before going to the testing center.
Users who purchase testing after 5:00pm EST will need to wait until the following morning for their request for a lab test to be reviewed and approved as an order. We will send an email letting the user know when the request is approved.
Users can continue to walk into the testing center or they can schedule an appointment through Quest Diagnostics.
